You've got 'em, now what are you going to do with 'em?

Alrighty it's been over 3 months since 2413 left Tempe, in that time what's happened? Short answer, not much!

My plans are to start work on 2413 first. Since 1930 is over 30 years old it can go straight onto the conditional registration.

With 1930, all that needs doing is a new windscreen on the nearside and the speedo needs attention (either repair or replacement. mkI/II VDO of course!). Along with addressing another issue that has just reared it's head in the past month or two. One battery terminal has corroded, so much so that when I was looking at it with SW yesterday, it disintegrated! Hopefully it'll be a quick job to cut the line back past the corrosion (about 3cm) and fit a new terminal and 1930 will be back.
My short term plan for 1930 is to leave it in it's Fearnes livery, then after 2413's done and I have all the pieces I require - take it back to the Chullora overhaul mkI livery.

RC's mkI ex 1964 ex MO 0304, I believe is in a livery that was a more correct one. Not to mention there is MO 2030 with it's single door (hint hint)

2413 on the otherhand starts up with little problem. For this one, it will be a matter of painting it inside and out into the Chullora overhaul livery. Blue cab, everything that is white at the moment, painted beige. Signwriting and the front will need a window cut in, for the number 3 desto box. I've somehow got to get either an original bumper or cut up the new style to resemble the original style. I think the one that's on it will have to go eitherway, it's been pushed in and the tow hook has become indented onto it.

This is the look I'm going for, except with a large blue L7 Urban Transit Authority logo, instead of the STA's logo

Next post - some pics of both as they are now....
